The aim of the MTech programme is to train the students in high level theoretical knowledge which enables them to tackle practical complex problems of design and development in the industrial field as well as pursue further academic achievment through research. Enough flexibility is provided in the structure of the programme in respect of lecture courses and project work to help the students to achieve the above mentioned aim.
The school offers a 2-3 years MTech programme, which focus on research and development in cutting-edge research areas of IT. A part time programme is also offered for sponsored and working students.
Fresh students as well as experienced professionals are admitted at a single entry point.

Program Requirement
KReSIT offers courses grouped under four categories: Foundataion, Applications, Technology/Research and Management. Students are required to take a stipulated number of core courses. The structure provides adequate flexibility so that courses under different categories can be taken.

An M.Tech student is also required to do a research project during the course of this programme.
Computing Facilities
Immediately upon joining, each student is assigned a high-end PC with high-speed Internet access. The PCs are supported by state-of-the-art servers that run on diverse platforms. Open-source software is used extensively and also developed in-house.
Financial Support
Several sources of funding are available for meritorious students. The school has large endowments such as the Raj Kaur Rekhi Endowment and the Ramrao Nilekhani Endowment, which provide many fellowships. There are also numerous teaching and research assistantship. In additions, funding supports from project sponsored by governments and industry is also available.
