Information on Food and Accomodation

Accomodation

• The organisers of Convergence '07 will provide sharing accomodation on a first-come-first-served basis
• The accomodation will be available from 9th March (Friday afternoon) upto 12th March (Monday afternoon) (a maximum of 3 days)
• The fee for accomodation is Rs. 75/- per day
• The fee has to be included along with payment for registration i.e. the participation fees will be Rs. 1500 (or Rs. 2000) (professionals) or Rs. 475 (students) plus (no. of days x Rs. 75/-)
• Requests for accomodation may be accepted "On the spot" only if it is available. We strongly recommend that requests are made at the time of registration itself
• Rooms will be provided on-campus, in hostels or institute residential rooms and will be shared by participants.
• Bedding shall be provided
• Please contact our Accomodation Desk in KReSIT on arrival on the 9th or 10th of March

Food

• Lunch and Tea (mid-morning and evening) will be provided during the workshop. Participants will need to arrange for breakfast and dinner on their own.
• Some food options:
  • KReSIT has a small canteen on its premises which is open from 9 am to 8 pm.
  • The on-campus 'Gulmohar' Restaurant is situated opposite KReSIT
  • The H12-H13 mess provides meals from breakfast to dinner for non-residents at nominal rates
  • The Institute Staff Canteen also provides meals
  • There are several small hotels opposite the Main Gate and the Market Gate
  • Hiranandani Gardens complex is about 5 minutes from the IIT Main Gate and has several eating options
