Convergence 2005 is a two day workshop on "Computing Infrastructure in Enterprise Networks" that aims at understanding all that goes on behind the scenes for providing seamless computing service.
- How do search engines provide search results from billions of pages within seconds?
- How many and what kind of servers would be required to meet such high performance requirements?
- How does e-commerce sites like Amazon run a massive distributed transaction system
on commodity hardware that is robust and scales?
- What kind of security measures are required for these networks ?
These are some of the issues that we try to address in the workshop.
