In order to contribute our share to make India a better place to live, we started a small group to serve the society.
Though it is a small group we always believe in "Little drops make an Ocean.
To give some insight about the group, i have put some text below written by Thrivikram, who initiated the group:

"Over 35% of population in India is below poverty line (Family income is less than Rs.2500 per month).
The basic rights such as Right to Education and Right to Healthy Environment are economically denied.
Social security system is not in existence. Over 10% of the population that are in the age group of 25 to 40 are unemployed.
Over a time, they will be subjected to oppressive and suppressive conditions, ill-treatment and exploitation by society,
stress and distortion resulting into domination by anti-social elements. Expert's analysis reveals that the basic reasons
for these conditions are Lack of educational opportunities, Lack of guidance and Lack of financial support.
The economically deprived are "born, live and die" in debts!! In order to contribute our share to make India a better place to live,
we started a small group to serve the society. Though it is a small group we always believe in "Little drops make an Ocean".
I, Praveen, Sridhar and Gurulingesh together started a group. Madhav and Raja are likely to join..."

What is our aim:
Our aim is to provide the financial help to the students, who are very much interested and good at studies,
but couldn't pursue the same due to lack of financial support.

How we are executing:
1. First and foremost is collecting the fund. We have an account in ICICI; all the contributions will go there.
2. Identifying the students and their financial needs. In this regard, we are backing on help of Government school teachers,
friends and relatives whom we know personally.
3. Once we choose a student, we will fund him/her through out his/her education based on his/her performance.
Depending upon available and expected funds, we will decide on number of students.
4. We like to make the process as transparent as possible. All the members of the group will be informed about
student's selection, academic progress, and utilization of fund on regular basis.

Some of the things that we have done so far:
1. Awarded Scholarships to 43 students (Rs.1000 each) at Giddalur, AP.
2. Awarded Scholarships to 27 students (Rs.1500 each) at Siddipet, AP.
3. Awarded Scholarships to 18 students (Rs.39000 total)at Giddalur and Lakkavaram, AP.
4. Sponsoring two students for their B.E. Degree (in 2006 batch), Karnataka.
5. Etc.

All the above programs are backed by Honeywell Technologies, Bangalore where it contributes 80% of the fund,
and remaining amount goes from teh group. We are extremely grateful to the company.

Welcome all
At present, the group strength is around 30 who are actively spending their time and contributing money for the cause.
We are looking for the contribution by the people either in the form of effort or money or both:
1. Help in identification of students. This might not require a huge effort in the initial stages,
but as group and fund grows it certainly needs.
2. Regular and consistent contribution of money to the fund. Let the amount be small, but please make
it regular (i.e., monthly or quarterly)
3. Your suggestions to improve the program and process are always welcome.
