In allegiance to all the RD 350 enthusiasts
It hurts to set you free but you will never follow me...
- Jim Morrison : The Doors
After more than 3 years of maintaining a RD, I have reached to the following conclusions:
- All mechanics are liars.
- The inherent property of a RD is that you will never be able to know her all, own her all, get hold of very ounce of power which hides inside her, this is because GOD wanted the romance to continue forever. Atleast it's still going on for the last 30 years. ;-)
- So what to do:
Have patience Talk to ppl Spend in installments on a RD, u never know when u will come to know that u are dealing with a cheat. Expect disappointment And the day your bike is in good mood and the roads are too... don't stop... just show the world why we take so much pains to keep her running.
Some of the stuff I have been browsing on the net:
Well for newbees who want to know how it feels to own and ride a RD, well it's a mixed feeling for me till now. The bike requires a lot, when i say a lot, it means a lot of maintaince, atleast initially. Once it's all fixed, the engine, the sound, brakes, clutch, the handle etc :-) it could show you a hell of a time. You will never get the absolute sinful indulgence anywhere else which you could get on an RD on a smooth, winding and banked road.
That's all for now... will be putting stuff here as and when I get it.. till then keep riding and keep it smoking.
