Total experience of more than Twenty Six years which include:
Eleven years and seven months in Visakhapatnam Steel Project as Executive from concept till successful commissioning of the Coal Chemicals Plant which included:
Project Monitoring from DPR stage up to commissioning of major Production units.
Project Planning and Equipment Planning for all units of the plant, Internal and External co-ordination.
Evaluation of DPR and follow up with Govt. Of India for project cost approval.
Participation in Consultancy Contract negotiations and review meetings.
Co-ordination between consultants including Russian and Indian Consultants.
Co-ordination with major equipment suppliers through regular review meetings.
Seven years as Technical Consultant for setting up small or medium scale industries from concept till commissioning. The projects supported included :
1200 T/Y Beta Naphthol plant
4000 T/Y PNCB from Benzene plant
2000 T/Y Electrode Carbon Paste plant
1000 T/Y Naphthalene from DNO plant
Computer proficiency since last twelve years. Use of MS DOS, WINDOWS 3.1, 95, 98, NT, MS OFFICE 97, 2000, XP etc.
One and half year as Project Engineer in Piping Cell, CAD Centre which included:
Assistance in conducting Piping Engineering Certificate Course at CAD Centre, IIT Bombay since December 95.
Consultancy assistance in Piping Engineering field.
Expertise in using software packages like Caepipe, Caesar II, Auto Plant, Cadpipe, PDMS etc.
Organizing Piping Cell Library and activities of Piping Cell Users’ Group like publication of `PIPING NEWS’ etc.
Six years as Project Manager in Kanwal Rekhi School of Information Technology, IIT Bombay which included:
Infrastructure Development of the School starting with construction of the building.
Coordination with Dean (Planning), IIT Bombay, Architect and other Consultants to see that requirements of user are provided.
Operation of contracts on Electrical works, Air conditioning, Networking and Landscaping for the building.
Planning and Procurement of furniture for Classrooms and Laboratories.
Operation of Acoustical works contract for Auditorium, Lecture hall and Seminar Hall.
Execution of Fire Detection and Alarm System installation in the building.
Technical support for maintenance of the building, electrical installations, network and landscape around.
Administrative support to the Distance Engineering Education Programme and Business Incubation.

I enjoy organizing and setting up new activities be it in plant construction, commissioning and operation; setting up an educational cell or infrastructure development of a department and operation and maintenance of departments and have been doing it from the start of my career since May 1979.
