Welcome to my Homepage!
About Me
Born on the 9th of December, I am a typical Sagittarian - fun loving, friendly and enthusiastic...
Presently I am pursuing MTech at KReSIT, IIT Powai.
Interests and Activities
The one thing I love is listening to Music!! I can spend hours together listening to MLTR, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams etc (the list is endless).. Lately I have also developed an interest in rock - soft rock mostly... I also like travelling and trekking - but have found no time to travel since I've come to IIT! I am also a major movie buff - can watch any kind of a movie, even a mirch-masala hindi movie...
My Family
We are a four-member family - my parents, my sister and me.
My father Suresh Kalekar, a surgeon by profession, is a Hindi music lover.
Owing to this, our house is
always stacked with Golden Hits of Asha, Lata, Mukesh and so on.
He is the most supportive and encouraging dad ever!!!
My mother Sanjivani Kalekar is a gynaecologist by profession. Ever-smiling and
jovial - she is enthusiasm personified. She has a variety of interests -
ranging from gardening, to cooking (she is an AWESOME cook), to knitting...
One thing she has taught us (my sister and me) is to
always do what we love, and to strive for perfection in whatever we do.
Mom, you are the best!!!
My sister Neha Kalekar is presently studying in the 12th standard. Unlike me, she is
quiet and shy, and also very casually brialliant!! She is the most loving sister one
can ever ask for...
I believe..
Anything worth doing is worth doing well!
One poem that has always inspired me is If by Rudyard Kipling.. especially the part that goes like this:
.....
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
