Experience

Currently I'm working as a Project Manager for TICET, a Tata Teleservices IITB Center of Excellence. Many wonder what am I doing there..and the answer is, I'm leading a content creation project for mobiles!!!

Prior to this I was working as Project Manager for the eOUTREACH program of Project Ekalavya, at Dept of CSE, IIT Bombay. We create high quality Audio Visual Content for engineering students, and release it in Open Source.

Apart from this, I'm also serving as:

2002-2006 as Studio Manager, of the C-DEEP, of IIT Bombay, Mumbai
My tryst with digital animation, and long cherished dream to work in the education area compelled me to leave the commercial filmdom, and I joined Distance Education Program of IIT Bombay as Studio Manager. This task involved designing a studio setup to enable the faculty to teach effectively, on a satellite network. This was challenging enough as it gave me a scope to interact with remote center students and get their feedback on the visual packaging of educational programs.


1998-2002 in ZICA Studios at Mumbai

This was like dream come true for me as I got a chance to work for the ndia's first feature film in live and animation 'BHAGMATI-The Queen of Fortunes'.

Based on my performance, I was selected as a Core Team member, for India's first feature film in LIVE action and Animation, titled ‘BHAGMATI'. The Core Team was the ‘Think Tank', working closely with the director, involving the decision making on, the look, pace, characters, sequences, layouts and animation quality of the film. My flair for computers and the experience which I got while making of my project film, gave me a rare chance of being appointed as Head of the Digital Department, for the same film. This involved creating Special effects, compositing 2D and 3D animation, Editing and supervising entire Post Production of the Animation portion of the film.


1993-1995 in Advertising Agencies at Pune

Raviraj Advertising: As Trainee Artist, I started my first job in Advertising Industry. It was a good setup, with most of the jobs related to news print.


Market Missionaries I Pvt Ltd: This was a bigger agency with a good creative team. The jobs were ALWAYS with tighter deadlines...but satisfying the creative urge. It is here that I got a chance to handle 'ad campaigns'.
