Special strengths:

Ph.D. in Computer Science/Information Technology and Masters of Business Administration, a combination that has provided skills in analytical thinking and logical presentation.
Worked as Project Manager for the Distance Education Program of IIT Bombay since its inception in August 2000 till December 2005. The Ph.D. problem was motivated by the practical challenges in providing Quality of Service (QoS) to multimedia applications in heterogeneous networks.
Broad knowledge in core sciences, computer science and information technology including smart card technology (Project Manager, SMARS, IIT Bombay, Oct. 1998 – August 2000), distance education, project & business management, and fine arts.
Multicultural knowledge achieved through extensive travel in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and North America.
Communication and interpersonal skills appreciated by the members of various organizations and internal team members.

Honours:

First in MBA class.
Inducted into two Professional Honour societies: Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi.
Awarded full assistantship during MS and MBA.
Started the Ph.D. as a working professional; Awarded full research assistantship for the last two and a half years.
As project manager for project SMARS and Distance Education Program, have been featured in media -- Doordarshan, “In Mumbai” and TMG-Enter and quoted in newspapers and magazines including Business World, Computer World, Indian Express, and the Times of India.

Interests:

§ Painting -- exhibit oil pastel artwork.

§ Indian classical music and dancing -- perform solo and in groups.

§ Environment – As founding member of Save Powai Lake Team organize the “Navsrujan -- Eco-friendly Ganapati idol making workshops” every year for the past six years.
