Interests & Goals
 
Having established a firm foundation in teaching and research aspects of electrical power/energy systems, the current interests are now veering towards more generic problems and issues i.e. application of already developed personal expertise for social benefits and technological enhancements in the following areas
A
Spread of quality Engineering Education by Distance / IT Mediated Techniques
B
Development of effective and simplified criteria for quality assessment of educational and training programmes and learning materials especially in higher/vocational education.
C
Specialised training material preparation for mission oriented; programmes for specific target groups, having direct relevance to the augmentation of national resources e.g. local language training programmes for electricity utility workers at the grass root level to enhance their effectiveness in the operation, maintenance and energy conservation of electrical equipments.
D
Non-profit third party testing and quality assurance certification of domestic, argricutlural electrical equipments, appliance with emphasis on safety, reliability and global competitiveness and energy consideration and for consumer protection.
E
Establishment of infrastructural facility for the design of  built-in protective and monitoring systems for electrical apparatus and machinery to esnsure loss prevention, Quality assurance and operational safety and efficiency aspects.
