Sridhar Iyer: Talks and Tutorials

  • Reflecting on my student days - This is a video of a talk I gave in 2019 about my own student days. It was edited and uploaded on YouTube in 2021.

[@Students]: The purpose of this video is to share my experiences and learnings with you, in the hope that some of it may be useful to you. (For example, one student's comment was: "I felt a sense of relief to hear a professor going through struggles. I guess it is ok to struggle.") If you want to revisit some points, here are the slides that you could refer to, instead of scrolling through the video again.

[@Teachers]: If you happen to watch the video and think it was a good idea, consider creating a video/blog of your own experiences for sharing with your students. They will relate to you better than to me. You could post a link to your video/blog as a comment on the above YouTube page!
On the other hand, if you disagree with my philosophy, then too consider creating a video/blog giving your perspective. Multiple perspectives will be useful to students for their decision-making.
