Introduction

"Electronics" is taught to all first year students in electrical, electronics, instrumentation engineering and in Degree colleges.

Electronics has influenced and changed our lives especially from the invention of microprocessor in 1971. Inventions have taken place at very high rate which has made life easy for all people. Electronic devices like cell phones, televisions, refrigerators, washing machines and many more are being used by everyone. These items have come to our rescue in hectic lives. This invention of microprocessor which leads people to own a personal computer has improved the working style. They are able to work more efficiently with the new technologies being developed every day. Due to the development in this field, humans rely upon these devices for their daily chores too. Whether these are for communication, entertainment, or business, electronics, have become a huge part of our daily life for many people, and will continue doing so in the future. These inventions will continue, only if more number of students, teachers, and working professionals are trained properly.

IIT Bombay, had conducted workshops, and trained teachers all over India through remote centres. The lectures were transmitted live, and were received at various remote centres across the country, through synchronous distance mode, along with the interaction of participants. The video, presentations, and downloads offered here will help students; teachers and working professionals learn and master the subject.
